The Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, located in the Barisal town began operating as a Barisal Medical College in 1968. After the name of Barisal’s late Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq, it was renamed Sher-e-Bangla Medical College. The university is affiliated with Dhaka University; recognized by the Medical and Dental Council of Bangladesh. UK’s General Medical Council (GMC) acknowledges the MBBS degree from this college’s pupils.

The hospital’s head is a director. The hospital annually hospitals about 30,000 patients. The hospital is home to 296 nurses, 25 medical technicians and 17 pharmacists. One Deputy Director, one Store Officer, one Administrative Officer and 470 Auxiliary Personnel help the Hospital Management Director. The college offers 5 years of medical education leading to MBBS.

At the end of the 2nd, 4th and 5th year, respectively, the University of Dhaka performs three professional MBBS exams to confer the MBBS degree. Sher-E-Bangla Medical CollegeApplication Form:

Application to the College can be made online through the Sher-E-Bangla Medical College official website.

  • Once the papers develop, the student is notified of the rejection and recognition of the appliance. If the form of a student is approved, he/she will be notified at intervals of 1-2 working days. A confirmation of entry will also be given to the applicant at the same time intervals.
  • Upon receipt of the confirmation letter, the charges are paid by the student through internet banking or multiple techniques of payment.
  • The student must apply for the Visa as quickly as possible after obtaining the invitation letter as the method may take some time.

The learners must send the necessary papers together with the completed application forms to the Bangladesh embassy. The embassy should also receive an amount of $60 (4220 rupees) in favour of DGHS. Upon payment of the sum, the candidate will obtain a confirmation receipt. The student may travel to Bangladesh to enter the university on the confirmation.
