Janaki medical college is a private and one of the top medical colleges in Nepal. It was discovered by the group of social and academic entrepreneurs with vast native support in December 1999. JMC is established as one of the most prominent medical colleges. Right from the following year of its establishment, the college was able to intake 100 students per year. JMC has two hospitals, one in Ramdaiya with 160 beds and another in the center of the city with 365 beds. The academy (including hostel buildings, hospital and administrative blocks) covers approx. 6.41 acres of land in Ramdaiya.
JMC has student counseling committee with Dr. Shiris Aryal as their coordinator.

MBBS in Janaki Medical College

Tribhuvan university set JMC’s MBBS program’s course study and JMC follows the syllabus designed and revised by the Institute of Medicine. There is a total of 100 seats for MBBS in JMC. The curriculum of MBBS Program is designed in an integrated manner to help the students understand concepts and to encourage them in problem-based learning. The program is 51/2 years community oriented and is dived in three phases.
The first phase is of two years consisting of subjects like Community medicine, Integrated Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Exposure and communication skills.
The second phase is of one year that covers Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine (Applied Epidemiology, Family Health Exercise), Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Pediatrics.
The third Phase is of one and a half year duration that concentrates on the clinical subjects:, Surgery, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, , Dentistry, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Eye, ENT, Orthopedics, Accident and Emergency Medicine, and Clinical Rotation in major clinical areas, Community Medicine (District Health Service Management), Information Technology, Ethics and Research.
A one-year internship for the students passing the final MBBS examination on a rotation basis.

Janaki Medical College MBBS Fee Structure

Janaki Medical College fee structure is not a piece of cake for many. Medical colleges in Nepal have affordable fees structure compared to other colleges. How to Get admission In Janaki Medical College For Indian Students?

To get enrolled in JMC’s MBBS program, candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCB securing 50% or above in aggregate and also minimum 50% in each subject.
Candidates must take TU IOM MBBS Entrance Examination. According to rules, the final selection will be done after passing TU IOM MBBS Entrance Exam and admission will be based on the merit list.

Janaki Medical College Hostel Life

  • Accommodation

JMC provides separate hostels for boys and girls in its premise at Ramdaiya for a total of 472 students. The hostels are provided with 24hour solar backup system and canteen. The other facilities are that toilets and bathrooms are at the ratio of 1:6, there is a recreation room, visitors’ room, outdoor athletic field and indoor game facilities with the hostel premises.

JMC has E-library concept and library in its academic complex which has been expanded to 200 sitting capacity for faculties and students with a sperate area for faculties. It opens from 8:00am to 10:00pm. It is well furnished and ventilated which contributes to providing a peaceful environment. JMC’s library has a volume of books, CD’s, journals, free Wi-Fi and other relevant teaching-learning stuff. JMC also have departmental libraries in respective departments which can be accessed by students too.
