Lyceum-Northwestern began at the Dagupan City Polyclinic Hospital as a single-room nursing school and was then called Nursing’s Dagupan City School. Dr Duque took over from the Northwest Educational Institution in 1974. The name Lyceum-Northwest arose from the merger. Lyceum-Northwestern led a consortium of local tertiary schools in the latter portion of the year and established the Northern Philippines Medicine Institute. Lyceum-Northwestern became the “first northern medical college.” The institute started with 19 students being enrolled. The consortium took two years to complete. Lyceum-Northwestern was given university status on November 19, 2001.

A foreign student who has not finished a degree must complete a one-year Pre-Med course before entering MBBS(MD) in the Philippines medical education scheme. MBBS course is known as MD(Medical Doctor) 1Peso is approximately 1.40 Indian Rupee.

Students wishing to enrol at Dr Francisco Q. Duque Medical Foundation College of Medicine at the Lyceum-Northwestern University must send the following to the Dean’s Office:

  • Completed FORM APPLICATION for admission to the Medical College.
  • Result of National Medical Acceptance Test (NMAT).
  • Transfer Certificate of Credential / Official Record Transcript.
  • College Diploma or Graduation Certificate photocopy.
  • Photocopy of the National Statistics Office’s birth certificate.
  • Police clearance or clearance from the NBI.
  • Four (4 pcs.) twenty-two images.
  • The LNUFQD Admission Office will process the certificate of eligibility for admission to medicine (CEAM).
  • Application / CEAM Fee of Php 1,000 payable at the Cashier’s Office (Official Receipt must be presented to the Dean’s Office / Admission Office.
  • Certificate of medical health including Chest X-ray, Fecalysis, Urinalysis, CBC
  • Provide a photocopy of the PRC Board Rating Certificate for learners who have passed the PRC Licensing Examination (e.g. nursing, medical technology, pharmacy, etc.)
  • Submit a Grant Certificate for learners benefiting from PVAO or USV AO education advantages and other scholarship grants.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for Indian students to get through in Lyceum Medical University is:

  • Minimum 85% in State board 10+2 level
  • Minimum 70% in CBSE/ ICSE levels
  • Early bird application to the University.
