Faculty of Medicine:
The Faculty of Medicine is an educational institution in human medicine and dentistry with over 3,000 students and works closely with the University Hospital in Leipzig. Together with the University Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine is one of Saxony’s largest medical institutions with 48 clinics and institutes operating in five separate departments.

Cost of Pursuing MBBS:
The tuition fee by the University covers all classes offered within the Studies and also includes the administrative and organizational matters. However, the students will have to cover accommodation and travel charges. The University also offers student scholarships, which adds to pursuing MBBS here as an advantage. They can take advantage of bank loans for students who are economically back.
The University of Leipzig Fee Structure:
The University charges nationals from Erasmus+ program countries a tuition fee of € 4,000 per year and all other nationals a fee of € 5,500 per year (which is approximately 4,27,262 Indian Rupees). Though the fees might be a little high and expensive, the University offers in a lot of scholarship opportunities that can be availed.
Internship at the University of Leipzig:
University internship is not mandatory. Students have two options to complete their internship. One way is that students can go back to India and do an internship. Or at the university itself, the students can continue the internship. In a place like Germany, an internship is highly educational and valid.

Erasmus Mundus Grants
The EU Commission offers scholarships for selected, highly qualified applicants from Erasmus+ partner countries to EMGS students under the Erasmus+ Key Action 1. These scholarships covered all tuition fees and included a single travel allowance of between € 5,000 and 7,000 (depending on the country of origin) as well as a living allowance of € 1,000 per month and basic medical coverage.

Students who do not receive a scholarship from Erasmus Mundus and study at universities may also apply for an Erasmus grant of around € 300 per month for up to one year.

How to get Admission at the University of Leipzig for Indian students:
Seeking admission in the University is quite easy and simple. The process needs to be direct and timely to ensure a seat at the University. The winters are very cold, long and windy in Leipzig, whereas the summers are comfortable. University of Leipzig Hostel Life:
The University of Leipzig provides accommodation for students from Germany and abroad. The residence hall is run by the Leipzig Studentenwerk. Using the online form, you can apply for a room. Rental agreements are usually concluded for residential halls for at least one year. The rent includes all charges for utilities: a collection of electricity, water, heating and waste. The internet is free and students can always ask for help from the caretaker.
